Biography

Melanie Davis is a native of Chicago, Illinois. She discovered her love for performance at the age of 5 where she made her debut singing at a family backyard party. She continued to sing in the church choir, school programs and talent shows. Melanie attended the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then attended the Chicago Kent College of Law and  is a licensed attorney.

 

Despite becoming an attorney, Melanie never gave up her dream of performing. After moving to Georgia, Melanie became the member of several bands including Melanie and the Felonies, Soul Trap, the Tayo Reed Band. Melanie recently became a member of Remote the Band and sang background vocals for El Debarge. Melanie currently resides in Hollywood, CA.

 

Melanie made her acting debut in the stage play “Family Mess” as Toni, the girlfriend of  lead character Sharon. She also played "Lynne Acworth" in web serires "Shame", student and newscaster in short film "Side Piece 101" and recently played Nurse Eponine in the Atlanta Bar Association's "A Courthouse Line XI: Northside Story". She completed her first role as a supporting actress in the feature film "Life Without Hope" as the character Evelyn. Melanie is continuing her acting studies at Lesly Kahn Studios.
